Wow. First ever post of 2012! (And I have the word “cheat” in my title what does that say for the year ahead? haha).
I know we’re all supposed to have New Year’s resolutions and everything (and since it’s already the 2nd of January it may or may not be the first day you’ve broken a resolution..) but I haven’t really gotten round to making one. It’s not that I have no idea but why the rush? Test the waters or whatever. Oh well that’s just me.. So in a few words I kinda gave an example why I’d have a cheat’s sort of recipe haha.
The best thing about cheating desserts is that the labour is next to zero but the product is just oh so goooood. Which you can almost never say about anything else in life (D’oh!). So what’s up with this chocolate coffee mousse? Besides a cheat it’s also an accident. Wow the start to the new year is getting weirder and weirder, no?
Cheat’s Chocolate Coffee Mousse (adapted from a magazine ad)
250 ml/1 can reduced cream
1 1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted (in the microwave for extra lazy factor)
4 tsp instant coffee (use a nice strong blend)
– Mix all the ingredients together and place in individual glasses.
– Chill in the fridge for an hour.
