I’m back with baroque prints, Cleopatra eyes and a pun! This GAOP goes to y’all who are on their last minute outfit hunt to strut this New Year’s Eve. For this outfit, I got to use my Drive lipstick and Beauty UK eye colours together – both of my new favourite cosmetics these days!
Baroque print is a really good excuse to wear my hair big like a beauty queen with gold jewellery. Keep it flamboyant and grand but at the same time simple when you’re dealing with baroque prints. Doesn’t make sense? Well just have a look at how dangling earrings are the only accessory I’m wearing with the dress. If I opted for stud earrings maybe I would wear a chain necklace but not the chunky kind, though. In other words, when wearing a statement print you have to compromise certain accessories.
What makes this a great party dress is its cut-out back design. Nothing like letting some air in to keep you from overheating during an extended club remix you can’t help but to move with.
And now for the details!
This dress (from Dotti) is the only baroque printed thing that I own because I tend to be really picky about statement prints. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of the baroque prints I see out there, as they tend to look like Rorschach prints on LSD. In other words, over-the-top in a bad way.
Excuse the leftover nail polish on my toe, but I just wanted to show off one of my new-ish addition to my growing shoe collection. They’re part of the Adiprene collection by Adidas, and that probably explains their ridiculous comfort. The platform wedge is a decent height and weight – perfect for marathon partying. Those scratches serve as a testament to how much I love wearing them out!
Guess that’s it for now! Enjoy this derp photo of me, and see you on my next post 🙂
